Meet the baker
Chaya's kitchen.
A home studio in Lakewood, a decade of simchas, and a standard that doesn't bend.
I started baking for my own simchas. A shalom zachor here, a sheva brachos there. The orders came from neighbors first, then from their cousins in Brooklyn, then from a cousin's chosson's family in Baltimore. Zissy's Kitchen grew the way the best things in our community grow — by word of mouth, at a kiddush.
Every cookie leaves this kitchen by hand. I draw the proof, mix the icing to the shade on the invitation, pipe each piece at the counter, and pack it the night before it ships. When a box goes out, I know what's inside it and who it's for.
The kitchen is certified by KCL — the Kosher Certification of Lakewood. The standards match the simchas we bake for. Pareve by default, dairy by request, and every ingredient logged.
If you're planning a simcha, write to me. Tell me the date, the palette, the guests. I'll write back with a proof, and we'll build it together.
